Workspace exports
A workspace export builds a private ZIP of the workspace's available original video files. It is a Fleet feature and requires download permission. It is not a transcoding or format-conversion service.
Requirements
The workspace must be active on Fleet, the requesting member must have videos.download permission, and private export storage must be configured and verified. If storage is unavailable, Playflow does not start the export. Only one queued, processing, or reconciliation-required export can be active in a workspace.
What the ZIP contains
Playflow snapshots every workspace video when the export is requested and attempts to include its available original source. Filenames are made safe from the video title and public ID. Edited videos are represented by the source revision captured for the export. A workspace export does not promise a particular container or codec beyond the available original.
Every archive contains manifest.json. Each manifest item identifies the public video ID, edit revision, status, and, for an included file, its filename, byte count, and SHA-256 digest. A failed item has a failure code instead.
Progress and partial results
The export history shows queued, processing, ready, failed, expired, or needs-review states, plus processed, included, and failed counts. One unavailable or changed source does not fail the whole job. A ready ZIP can therefore be marked Ready with failures; use its manifest to identify omitted videos. Archive I/O or final upload failures can fail the entire export.
Size and availability limits
The default maximum archive size is 100 GiB and can be changed by deployment configuration. Exceeding the configured cap fails the export rather than silently producing an incomplete archive. Export records and archives expire exactly seven days after creation, not seven days after completion. Create a new export after expiry.
Download links and email
When an export becomes ready, Playflow records it in export history and queues an email notification. Choosing Download ZIP creates a private signed ticket that lasts no more than 15 minutes and never beyond the archive's seven-day expiry. Permission and Fleet eligibility are checked again when the ticket is redeemed.
Authenticated endpoints
Use GET /api/exports for up to 100 recent exports, POST /api/exports with an idempotencyKey UUID to request one, GET /api/exports/:exportId for current status, and POST /api/exports/:exportId/download to mint a short-lived download URL. A successful request returns 202 while work continues asynchronously.
